About our barn doors & hardware

  • What size barn door or hardware kit should I choose?
    Measure your opening first, include the architraves if any, the barn door should fully cover your opening and has aound 50mm overlaps on each when door close. Or just fully cover the architraves. Barn door height needs to be at least same as your opening height, and make sure you have a minimum of 150mm space above the door.
    The rail size needs to be at least double the barn door's width. Or you can also choose shorter rail for special situation, for example, if you don't have enough space on the side of the opening.

    • Do you do custom orders?
    Currently we only do custom orders for the metal frame glass barn door kit.

    • Do I  need to buy the barn door and the hardware separately?
    Yes, we sell the barn doors and hardware separately, only if we have detailed that it is a package, you will see what included in product details.
    The metal frame glass barn door is in a package which includes everything you need.

    • What included in the hardware kit?
    Hardware kit includes rail, rollers, stoppers, rail supports, floor guide, anti-jumps and all needed screws.

    • Is there anything at bottom to stop the door swing?
    Yes, there's a standard door guide (floor guide) which included in the hardware kit.

    • Can I do the installation by myself?
    Of course you can install it by yourself, the hardware kit comes with instructions.

    • Does AU Barn Door provide installation service?
    Yes, we do installation but currently only available for VIC customers with extra charge.

    Stocks & Delivery Questions

    • Are your barn doors & hardware Australia stock?
      Yes, all of our product are Australia stock.

      • What's the delivery time?
      To metro area in each state takes 3-7 business days, ETA only (except NT & WA). Usually we will sent out your order within 3 business days.

      • Which courier company do you use?
      For hardware kit we usually use E-go Express, Couriers Please and Alleid Express. For barn doors we may use Toll, Toll IPEC, TNT or Northline.

      • Why barn door orders can only be delivered to my local depot? Can you deliver it to my home?
      As the barn doors are big and heavy, to protect the barn doors, we usually put it on a pallet and add plywood board to protect it. Deliver it to your local depot is chaeper and faster.
      Yes, we can also deliver it to your home. For safety, home delivery needs the tail-gate truck to unload the pallet if you don't have a forklift , which a $150 extra charge will apply.

      • Can I arrange shipping by myself?
      Of course you can arrange shipping by yourself. Just choose ''Pick Up'' when checking out, we will send you a notification  when it is ready for picking up, then you can contact us for packaging details.

      Swap & Return

      • Can I swap the item?
      Yes, contact us within 7 business days after you received the item if you change your mind. You will need to response for the shipping charge by yourself and make sure the returned item is in its original condition. We will send you the swapped item as soon as we received the returned one.
      Unfortunately, we don't accept swap or return for the barn doors, as the condition will be not resellable when experienced two way transportation.

      • Can I return the item?
      Yes, contact us within 7 business days after you received the item if you change your mind. You will need to response for the shipping charge by yourself and make sure the returned item is in its original condition. We will send the refund (not include the shipping cost) as soon as we received the returned item.
      Unfortunately, we don't accept swap or return for the barn doors, as the condition will be not resellable when experienced two way transportation.

      • What should I do if the item I received is damaged?
      Always check item condition first before signing delivery. If you think the item is damaged during the transportation, please take phots of the damaged packaging out side as well as the damaged item inside and contact us within 5 business days.

      • What if I received the wrong item?
      Please contact us ASAP, usually we recommend to place another order, so we can send you the correct item ASAP. Then we will send you the shipping label for sending back the wrong item. We will send you the full refund as soon as we received the returned item, including the shipping cost you have paid.

      Payment

      • What are your payment options?
      We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Afterpay, Zippay, or direct deposit into our CBA account. A cash payment option is also available if you make a purchase in our store.
